Mark is an experienced oral surgeon specialising in surgical aspects of implant dentistry. He has placed over 4000 implants and only uses proven techniques that provide effective long-lasting results.

He works in two private dental practices in the North West, Bamford Dental Practice, in Rochdale and Schofield and Pickup Dental Practice in Clitheroe. He is also an honorary staff surgeon for the East Lancashire Maxillofacial Service where he worked as a staff grade surgeon for 13 years, with experience in many aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Mark was awarded the Astra Tech Implant Scholarship in 2001. He provides lectures for implant training and is a mentor for the University of Manchester MSc Implantology course.

Mark is assisted by master technicians from Matrix Dental Laboratory. They are very knowledgeable about the best materials and latest technology and play a key part in ensuring treatment is successful.

Being a member of various associations such as the Association of Dental Implantology UK, the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the European Association for Osseointegration enables Mark to keep up-to-date with all the latest new and developments in implant dentistry.

Mark appreciates that some patients are nervous about treatment and will do his best to put you at ease. Treatment is carried out in a relaxed and sympathetic manner. Intravenous sedation is available if required.
